Position Description: Looking for people interested in volunteering in the Care Centre. No skills required but must have an affinity for older people. Would suit those interested in one to one conversations, crafty people, Interest in assisting with outings.

Position Location: Boyne Island

Required Skills / Experience: Positive outlook Patience Enjoyment of listening to others If you have a craft or muscial skill that is a bonus.

Gained Skills / Experience: Interactive with other aged groups Volunteering in a customer focused organisation Listening and learning from long term local residents.

Purpose/Mission Statement: Residential support for elderly and frail. Friends of Bindaree raise funds to assist in purchases which enrich the lives of the elders of Bindaree Care Centre.

Services Provided: Bindaree is a 40 room aged residential facility situated in Boyne Island. Monthly Garage Sales are held on the grounds as a fundraising activity. Resale of donated items including cloths, manchester, shoes, bric-a-brac, furniture and almost any donated item.
