Community Driver

Position Description: ComLink is looking for an amazing volunteer driver to help our client’s stay active in the community. If you would like to spend your days out on the road, meeting new people and making a tangible difference in their lives, we want you! We need your local knowledge as well as your caring, compassionate nature. Our transportation covers everything from medical appointments, to assisted shopping and social events. The way you can help our community goes far beyond the actual destinations you take clients to. Your conversations and genuine interest in their lives provides valuable social support and a sense of belonging. As they say, it’s not about the destination but how we get there. Volunteers are required to use their own vehicle as our nearest regional office is located in Bundaberg. Don't worry! You will be reimbursed for your driving expenses and we will send someone to you for training and induction.

Position Location: Gladstone

Required Skills / Experience: A C-Class license is required with a positive driving record. Before you can begin work ComLink will help you obtain the following: *Driver's authority (and required medical) *Police Check *Blue Card

Gained Skills / Experience: Through volunteering with ComLink you will build strong connections with the community and gain experience in the aged care space.
