Position Description: Social connection is an important component of mental health wellbeing. Social connection activities facilitates the engagement of individuals in meaningful and inclusive activities that strengthen their sense of connection, wellbeing, independence and confidence. That being said we are looking for friendly people who are wanting to make a difference in our community by helping us to plan and deliver social connection activities at the Gladstone Mindcare Hub. Position Location: Gladstone
Required Skills / Experience: **In the role you will be required to**, - design, plan and deliver social connection activities - Assist with delivery of social connection activities – activities can include art and craft, board games, movies, music, cooking, exercise - Providing companionship and communicating with participants of activities - Complete reports about activities
Gained Skills / Experience: You will be provided with both an online and in person induction. You will also be provided with relevant training and ongoing support.

By assisting individuals to reach the right support at the right time we can: provide preventative support in a timely way to avoid escalations tailor supports for those that would benefit from early interventions in community settings empower individuals to access self-managed support bring relief to individuals who may otherwise get lost in the process streamline access to services in a timely manner offer social connection and health promotion activities before the need to refer to professional health specialists avoid escalation of current experiences to more serious support needs
